Terms of Use उपयोग की शर्तें
Agreement
When you first open Sanvaad, you tick to confirm that you are 18 or older and that you agree to these terms, the Disclaimer and the Privacy Policy. Using Sanvaad means you accept them.
Who may use Sanvaad
Sanvaad is only for people aged 18 and above.
The service
Sanvaad lets you talk with Madhav, an AI companion, and shares what the Bhagavad Gita says, with verse references. It is in Beta, so it may sometimes be wrong, slow or unavailable.
Madhav's voice is generated by AI. He sometimes reads a shloka aloud in Sanskrit; his pronunciation may not be perfect, and the verified text shown on your screen is the one to rely on.
Minutes and payment
The first 3 minutes of conversation are free. After that, conversation time is bought in packs (5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes) inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play. The price of each pack is the one shown by the store in your country, including any taxes the store applies.
- Only talk time is counted: the seconds while you speak with the microphone open and while Madhav speaks. For a typed chat, time is counted by the length of Madhav's reply. The minutes left are shown in the app at all times.
- Minutes do not expire. They can be used only in Sanvaad, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred, exchanged or withdrawn.
- So that a conversation is never cut off mid-sentence, it may continue up to 2 minutes after your minutes reach zero; that time is taken from your next pack. At 2 minutes below zero the conversation ends until you add minutes.
- Purchases are made with Apple or Google under their terms. Refunds are requested from and decided by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (Google Play order history), under their refund policies. If a refund is given, the refunded minutes may be removed from your balance.
- Your minutes are tied to a random number kept by the app, not to an account. It is kept in your iCloud Keychain (iPhone) or your phone's Google backup (Android). If that number is lost (for example, the app is deleted with no backup), we cannot restore the minutes, because we do not know who you are.
- We may change pack sizes or prices for future purchases. Minutes you have already bought keep their value.
Respectful use
Sanvaad is about the Bhagavad Gita, and we ask that it be used with the respect that literature deserves. Madhav will politely decline, and will not discuss, abusive or vulgar language; fraud, scams or cheating; violence or harm to anyone; drugs or other intoxicants; weapons; hatred or disrespect towards any religion, caste, community or person; disrespect of the Constitution of India; mockery of the Gita or any faith; or anything unlawful. If someone keeps insisting, Madhav will end the conversation. Misuse may also lead to access being blocked.
Not professional advice
Sanvaad does not give medical, mental-health, legal, financial or religious-ruling advice, and it is not a crisis service. Sanvaad has no helpline of its own. If you or someone near you is in danger, please call your local emergency number. In India, the Government of India's free services are the national mental-health helpline Tele-MANAS (14416, official site) and the national emergency number 112. Outside India, free, confidential helplines for your country are listed at findahelpline.com. These services are not connected with Sanvaad, and their numbers can change.
Content
The Sanskrit text of the Gita is in the public domain. The Hindi meanings, summaries, English renderings and Madhav's replies are prepared with the help of AI, for knowledge only, and may contain errors. Please report mistakes so we can correct them.
Madhav also shares stories: from the scriptures (such as the Mahabharata, Ramayana, Puranas and Upanishads), from the lives of saints as handed down in tradition, and true incidents from published sources, each introduced by what it is. Examples that begin "maan lijiye…" ("imagine…") are made up to illustrate a point.
Your choices
Madhav only shares what the Gita says; he does not decide for you. Any decision you make, and its consequences, are your own.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sanvaad is provided "as is", and we are not liable for any loss arising from its use. Where the law does not allow this to be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for minutes in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Who provides Sanvaad
Sanvaad is provided by KolabX Entertainment Private Limited, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
