Privacy Policy गोपनीयता नीति
Summary
- KolabX Entertainment Private Limited never saves your conversations. We keep no database of your chats or your words.
- Everything you and Madhav talk about, including the name you would like Madhav to call you, is saved only on your phone.
- You are always in control: you can delete all of it any time in the app. Once it is deleted from your phone, it is a fresh start: Madhav no longer knows anything about your earlier talks, because nothing is kept anywhere with us.
- We never ask for an account, email, phone number or location. Madhav may ask what you would like to be called; any name or nickname is fine, or you can skip it.
- While you talk, your voice and words pass through our server to our AI provider (Google Gemini) so Madhav can listen and reply. Our server never saves them. Google may keep them for a limited time only to detect abuse of its service, and does not use them to train its AI.
- Apart from your minutes balance (below), the only thing we keep is anonymous statistics (such as the topic, mood and length of a conversation, and your 👍/👎): no words, no name, nothing that identifies you.
- Minutes are bought through the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your name, email, card or store account; Apple or Google handle the payment and refunds.
- Sanvaad is only for people aged 18 and above. When you first open the app you confirm this and agree to this policy.
Who we are
Sanvaad is provided by KolabX Entertainment Private Limited, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Contact: support@kolabx.com.
For any question or grievance: support@kolabx.com.
Your consent
When you first open Sanvaad, you are asked to confirm that you are 18 or older and that you agree to the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. Your voice and words are processed only to give you Madhav's replies, as described below. You can withdraw your consent at any time: delete your conversations in the app and stop using it (or uninstall it). If this policy changes in an important way, the app will ask you again.
What stays on your phone
So that Madhav can remember you like a friend, the words of your past conversations, the name you would like to be called (if you give one), the verses shown and the time of each message are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage, which your phone keeps encrypted. At the start of each new conversation, a short recent part of this history is sent along with it so Madhav can pick up the thread.
You can erase it any time: in the app, tap "Delete our conversation" at the end of the chat. Deleting the app also erases it. After that, Madhav starts completely fresh with you. On iPhone, if you back up your phone (iCloud or computer), this data is included in your own backup, as with any app. On Android, nothing from your conversations is included in backups; only the anonymous wallet number described below is.
What happens during a conversation
When you talk to Madhav, your microphone audio, anything you type, and the short recent history described above are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes them to our AI provider, Google (Gemini), to understand you, write Madhav's reply and speak it in his voice. Our server does not store the audio or the words; it only keeps short technical logs: the time of a session, the internet (IP) address it came from, how many seconds of audio it carried, the length of each reply (as a number of characters) and technical events such as which verse was shown or read aloud. Never the words.
Our AI provider
Madhav's understanding and voice come from Google's Gemini AI, used as a paid service. Google does not use your conversations to train or improve its AI models. Under Google's terms, Google may keep what is sent to it for a limited time, only to detect abuse of its services, and does not use it for anything else.
Your minutes and purchases
Your first 3 minutes are free; after that you can buy minutes in packs. To count your minutes without an account, the app makes a random number (a wallet number) on your phone. Our server keeps, against that number, only the minutes left and when they were last used. On iPhone the number is kept in your iCloud Keychain, so your minutes stay if you reinstall the app on your devices. On Android it is included in your phone's Google backup (nothing else from Sanvaad is), so your minutes come back when you reinstall the app with backup turned on; without a backup, unused minutes cannot be restored.
When you buy a pack, the purchase is made with Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. The store gives the app a signed confirmation of the purchase; our server checks it with Apple or Google, adds the minutes, and keeps only a one-way code made from the store's transaction reference (so the same purchase is never added twice), which pack it was and the time. We never receive your name, email, phone number, card or bank details, or your Apple or Google account. Refunds are requested from, and decided by, Apple or Google.
The minutes are counted from the talk itself: the seconds of your voice while the microphone is open and of Madhav's voice (for a typed chat, the length of Madhav's reply). Only these numbers are kept, never the words.
Anonymous statistics (Sanvaad Insights)
To understand what helps people and to improve Madhav, after a conversation our server asks the AI to note a few labels about it, and keeps only those: the kind of topic (for example, stress about exams), the language, whether you seemed to be a student, working or retired (only if that was clear), your mood at the start and the end, how long it lasted, and which verses were shown. If you tap 👍 or 👎 after a conversation, that is added too. These labels are anonymous: they contain no words from the conversation, no name, and nothing that identifies you or your phone. The words themselves are never stored.
Microphone
Sanvaad asks for microphone access so you can talk to Madhav. The microphone opens only when you tap the mic button, and closes when you pause or tap again. While Madhav is thinking or speaking it stays closed, and nothing from it is sent anywhere. You can turn access off in your phone's Settings.
Mistake reports
If you use "Report a mistake" on a verse, we store only the verse number, your note and the time, so we can correct it. No conversation or identity is attached.
Help and safety
If a conversation suggests someone may be in danger, the app shows helpline numbers on your screen: in India, Government of India helplines; elsewhere, helplines and the emergency number of the country you are in, checked against official sources. These are public services, not run by or connected with Sanvaad, and their numbers can change: if anyone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. We never contact anyone and never notify anyone about your conversation.
To show the right numbers, our server works out only which country you are connecting from, from your internet (IP) address, using an offline database on our own server (IP Geolocation by DB-IP). Your address and your country are not stored and are not sent anywhere.
Age: 18 and above
Sanvaad is only for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has used Sanvaad, please write to us.
Your rights
Because your conversations are stored only on your device, you control them fully and can see or delete them at any time in the app. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may also ask us about any data we process, ask for it to be corrected or erased, withdraw your consent, and nominate someone to act for you. For any question or request, or to raise a grievance, write to support@kolabx.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
